Ke$ha: 'TiK ToK'

If her debut single is anything to go by, a night on the tiles with US pop sensation Ke$ha is one to remember. She wakes up feeling like P Diddy, proceeds to brush her teeth with a bottle of Jack, and if a boy gets too drunk later on, well, she's quite prepared to give him a smack. Wonder what Flo Rida made of all this when he spun her 'Right Round' earlier this year?

Anyway, as you've probably guessed by now, Ke$ha comes across as a bit of a hussy here. But - and here's the important thing - she's an absolute hoot with it, dishing out some great lines, giggling boozily and having loads of fun with Auto-Tune over Dr Luke's bouncy, bubblegummy electro backing. Best of all, one of them's even remembered to include a stonking great chorus. The result is the cider 'n' black of pop singles: sweet, potent and completely trashy in the best possible way.

Her voice in the verses are AWFUL!! So annoying. The chorus is catchy, but reminds me of GaGa. The lyrics are pathetic. How many party and drinking songs does the pop world need?

Is this a serious review? Come on the lyrics are basic, the tune is rubbish and the melody at the start sounds like "Just Dance" played backwards. I thought critics of music were meant to criticize rubbish music not favor it!

You're 100% correct about this song being trashy. But I LOVE it. Although it isn't as good as Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, Pokerface, Just Dance or Papparazzi.

I shouldn't like this song. I prefer rock, R&B normally. But I can't help it. It's pretty darn awesome! I like Lady GaGa too, and this song is a vaguely similar style, but certainly will have many people dancing to it!

When I first heard this song, I thought it was Lady gaga, but it does have a slightly different sound, the more I hear it. But to sum this song up in one word: Awesome!

I should hate this song - the voice is a bit irritating, she is associated with Flo Rida, can't spell... and yet I can't stop playing this song!! Instantly catchy with a hands in the air chorus, it's a shame they had to rush out the release on the week when X Factor is likely to dominate, because this could have been a number one contender with the a bit more airplay and build up...
