Janet Jackson: 'Make Me'
Released on Monday, Dec 7 2009

Co-written and produced by Rodney Jerkins, it's a sleek dance track that tips its cap towards '70s disco and classic Jam & Lewis-era Janet while still managing to sound contemporary. Sure, on first listen it seems a bit like the set (and plotline) of a budget porno flick - pretty flimsy - but just you try saying no to this groove after three or four spins. Oh, and only Miss Jackson could pay tribute to her late brother and issue a come-on in the same line: "Don't stop 'til you get it up" indeed!

Amazing, the dancing is brilliant, and the song is very catchy and has a really good beat, return of queen of pop.

What an amazingly fun comeback single! I absolutely adore Janet Jackson and it's great to see her return to her funky dance roots. If you can listen to this song without wanting to get up and dance I'd advise you to check for a pulse!

LOVE IT! wasn't massively keen on first listen but it just gets better and better. Glad she's back and hope she continues making great pop/dance/r'n'b songs. Truly a legend in her own right, amazing back catalogue of songs and a real icon who definately broke new ground and paved the way for most of the artists who have followed her. She's amazing!

Overall a great single. However the lyrics seem quite cheap for a music legend. Also, the jackson reference is very odd, something you'd sing as ajoke with mates.

Best Janet song in years, and great video too! Glad she is back! All these acts like Gaga and Rihanna etc have Janet to thank for paving the way.

Janet's an icon in her own right. Listening to her new Number Ones/The Best compilation confirms that. This is a great single, can't wait for her X-Factor performance!

I think this is Janet's return to her pop form and updated. The past three albums had more hip-hop influence. I still loved them "Take Good Care, This Can't Be Good, Curtains, Enjoy, Daybreak, Rollercoaster, Da Mita Jo, Funny how time Flies, Someday is Tonight, China Love, Anything, Twenty-Four Play, Free Zone." Too many to list here You see, most bloggers aren't real fans because they only know the songs that were releases commercially. I know what I'm talking about! Been a fan since Dream Street! And the remixes are killer too! That's what makes you move! She brings her own flare to every song. She always pulls through. I think they should have gotten Janet's fans to list their favorite non-commercial hits and released them on a second cd with Number Ones. Because of how the industry is, many of the best gems stay hidden. People only know what they are fed. She knows how to use her talent well. She's a pro! Don't forget it. Forget a Queen of Pop title! She stands completely alone as the true and original Queen of Rythm! No one can match her!

Sparkly, Is there no end to the amount of idiocy you display in your posts? Janet Jackson cannot Sing or dance?...yet you adore Kylie? Ugh...go away!

I'm sorry, but in response to the comment from Kylie's Sparkly Tiarra, saying that Janet Jackson can't sing and dance is near-ridiculous. This best of has been in the works since before Michael's death. And Janet is responsible for some of the most groundbreaking singles and videos in music history. Michael himself even listed "Rhythm Nation" as one of his favourite songs and one that inspired him. See the videos for "All For You", "If", "Together Again", "Miss You Much" and "Rhythm Nation" before saying she can't dance. And listen to "Come Back To Me", "Again", and "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" before saying she can't sing. As for this song, this is quite possibly the most catchy song of 2009, i've not been able to stop singing it since listening to it after the VMA performance. A great song by a great entertainer. She's so talented and one of the most humble people in the entire industry. I cannot WAIT to see her on X Factor.

what a moronic comment given by the 1 star giver. i'm not even gonna argue or justify my reasonings - because you're too ignorant and pathetic to understand. i'm not the greatest fan of her music - but she has had some great songs in the past, including this one - it's just brilliant. trust digitalspy - give it a few spins first - it will get you grooving!!!
