Lemar: 'The Way Love Goes'
Most of its graduates failed to make it beyond one medium-sized hit, but Auntie's ill-fated Fame Academy can count Lemar as a genuine success story. Since 2003, he's racked up ten Top 40 singles and three platinum albums, and while he may not be a regular in the top ten anymore, he still has enough street cred to line up a collaboration with JLS.

Sadly, this latest single - the trailer for his upcoming greatest hits set - is about as original as the average Jack The Lad Swing album track. Producers Stargate give it a contemporary pop-R&B sheen with some club-friendly beats and a smattering of synths, but the sappy lyrics and forgettable hook prevent it from ever setting the pulse racing. Still, Lemar's soulful vocals hold their own, offering a neat reminder that his hits comp will probably be worth a listen.

Long been a fan of Lemar - not his best (I miss his old stuff!!) but still good;still so criminally underated on the music scene.

You mean if this guy were American we would be drooling over him - but we have to put down British talent. Lemar has an amazing voice, probably the best male soul singer this country has ever produced this is a catchy little song and he has a great back catalogue worthy of respect - will get it respect not with comments like that. Song deserves to go all the way to the top as Thom says below there's no justice

This tune definitely has the feel good factor, which will hopefully propel this multi-talented and underrated artist right up the charts. A solid effort from the soul boy from Tottenham.

What are you lot talking about? You moan and say he's too boring when he makes slow songs? Now your moaning because he tired something different, he can't win. If anyone else sang this song, It would be number 1 no question. He is the most UNDERATED singer in the UK and this song deserves to be number one, rather than all these one hit wonders who keep poppin' up from nowhere.
