They're at it again here. This song's pro-monogamy message is so sweet, and the electro-disco-calypso of the music so irresistible, that it actually presents something of a conundrum. When Alexis Taylor croons the deliciously soppy chorus - "I only wanna be your one life stand / Tell me, do you stand by your man?" - you won't know whether to get up and dance or snuggle up on the sofa with your loved one. (For the record, we choose the latter but reserve the right to tap our toes while cutching.)

good tune but it has failed. Why? Not because people hate it, but because people can't be bothered to expand their tastes and instead stick with listening to whatever Simon Cowell manufactures. Only XFM has ever played this song on the radio.

Oh this is definitely one that makes me want to get up and dance - by the second verse I'm bobbing about all over the place! One of the best songs they've done IMO. Should be doing better in the midweeks than it is. The album is really good too.

not much to write home about to be honest, his voice is irritating and this is not a gem in the way Ready For The Floor was by any means... maybe i just don't like Hot Chip though.

shawn - this song did get good airplay on Radio 1, it even made their A-list. But I agree with everything else you said.
