'You Used To Hold Me' is a case in point. Smooth and modishly synthy it may be, but Harris's production just can't save the throwaway '90s beats and utterly forgettable lyrics ("I've known this can make you understand / Take my spirit from my open hand"). Sure, it'd take someone with a heart of stone (or feet of lead) not to have a little shimmy to this a few drinks into a big night out. Unlike 'I'm Not Alone', though, it certainly won't be the song you have pounding in your head as you fall asleep later that morning - let alone the one that brings back that heady mix of exhausted joy and regret as you wake up come afternoon.

I didn't pick this one out instantly when i bought the album, but since I've been hearing it on the radio recently I'm surprised at how much I like it now. It's not Calvin's best song, but he has proved himself as an extremely talented producer, especially over the last year.

Haha, nice on Paul from Dubai. I pretty much agree - it's catchy, and I love it.

Oh pull your head out your ass and have a good time once in a while would you? It's a great tune. Comparing him to Jedward shows what little understanding of music you have. 0/5 for your review

Although I'm a big fan of this song, I can't see it doing so well, especially after the not-so-great success of "Flashback". Calvin's material is wearing thin, so I think this should be the last single from the current album, he needs to get making the 3rd album!
