On the evidence of 'I Got You', it's definitely a possibility. That voice we fell in love with is still there, effortlessly slinking through the fragile verses and belting out the chorus with gusto, and there's definitely something endearing about the stark simplicity of the lyrics. Sadly though, and despite Lewis really putting in the effort, the production and melody don't do enough to distinguish the song from countless other MOR pop ballads of recent years. Her name and her voice will catapult this some way up the charts, but Lewis should start looking for some more adventurous collaborators if she wants her music to have the zing that her talent really deserves.
