Cascada: 'Pyromania'

Cascada are kind of like the fake Rolex of the pop world. The Eurodancers' last LP, Evacuate The Dancefloor, gave them their first UK chart-topper in the form of the GaGa-aping title track, but subsequent singles failed to match its success ('Dangerous' stalled at #67, consequently demoting 'Fever' to a digital-only release). So, the question now is, will their latest effort win over a new round of punters?

The answer is almost certainly "yes" - because 'Pyromania' is the best example of their cheap and cheerful 'CascaGa' sound since 'Evacuate'. No sooner than Natalie Horler finishes chanting about some bloke she's "so hot" for, the track damn well explodes into an irresistibly catchy hook: "Pyromania / Pyromania-ow / Pyromania-ah-ah-ah-ow." No points for originality here, but when the tune's as infectious as this, we're happy to wear our fake Rolex with pride.
