The ad may be as comfortably middle-class as a dimmer switch, and as warm 'n' fuzzy as a cuddle from a Care Bear, but there's actually an intriguing hint of acidity to these lyrics, which were written in tribute to Joel's then wife - she was a bit of a ball-buster in the boardroom, apparently. Of course, Dangerfield croons them so nicely that few are likely to notice and, available for just 59p from iTunes, there's no denying that the "Never knowingly undersold on price, quality and service" promise is upheld here.
