Muse 'Neutron Star Collision'
Well, you didn't expect Muse's first movie theme to be subtle, did you? The magnificently-monikered 'Neutron Collision (Love Is Forever)' - taken from the new Twilight soundtrack - begins as a portentous piano ballad, before the drums and guitars kick in and it morphs into a proggy chugger with axework Brian May wouldn't cock a snook at.

Along the way, Matt Bellamy delivers a set of lyrics every bit as heavy and melodramatic as the film to which the track is attached: halos fail to listen, doctrines disappear like snowflakes in the ocean and hearts combine like a neutron star collision. The result? As brooding as a vampire with a century of self-worth issues, but also as powerful as a teen Schwarzenegger who can turn into a wolf - in other words, pretty much spot on.
