
But... wait for it... DDM is actually the moniker of Sean Combs's new music venture - yes, actual music! The multi-talented mogul has teamed up with Kalenna Harper and Dawn Richard – hitmaking type and Danity Kane alumnus respectively – to form, drum roll please, "a trio infused with formidable singing, songwriting and production talent". According to their official biog, the formidably-infused trio "create a new sound: train music, an electro hip-hop soul funk experience" no less. That's odd, because to these ears their debut offering sounds like a bogstandard wad of midtempo Timba-pop, albeit one with a better-than-average hook and, in Diddy's final-minute rap, a reminder of how he jump-started his journey towards a reported $300m fortune and a butler called Fonzworth Bentley.
