Marina and the Diamonds: 'Oh No!'

For a woman with one of the kookiest voices in pop, Marina ain't doing half bad. Her debut album's gone top five, she's appeared at more festivals than Kate Moss's latest choice of fashionable-yet-field-friendly footwear, and she even sported this summer's ultimate pair of shades. After (rightly) giving 2009's 'I Am Not A Robot' a second outing back in April, she's now releasing a fresh cut from her album - and once again if she's got something to say, she's going to say it in the strangest possible fashion.

Not that you'll catch us complaining, because it's this very quirkiness that drew us to her in the first place. 'Oh No!' finds her claiming to know exactly what she wants, but actually coming off as a contrary little madam. In a mock-operatic voice flanked by delicious synths, she admits to being "only after success", but then insists she "don't need fame, don't need money". Confused? We certainly are, but what else would you expect from a woman whose middle name is Lambrini? Actually.
