Stromae: 'Alors On Danse'

However, having notched up numerous listens on a lukewarm September afternoon, it actually starts to make perfect sense. Over a minimal-'n'-addictive electro-housey backing, the Belgian beatsmith muses over the stresses of work, money, love and family, before brushing them all aside in favour a good ol' boogie. The result is a surefire cure for the post-holiday blues - and even if your French isn't quite as good as ours (ahem), the hazy, sax-driven chorus still hits the G-Spot. They don't call him Stromae ("maestro") for nothing, y'know.

This is absolutely dreadful. Why did they plan to release this over here? It's just weird.

quite monotonous - its been on German tv and in their charts since may, and its now quite boring. cant see it making any impact on our charts, as its in french

To all of those saying that Alors on Danse wont make it in the UK, remember Alizee - Moi, Lolita and Daddy Yankee - Gasolina... neither were in English, but they were Top 10 hits in the UK! It just goes to show, we Brits love a good beat, besides Alors on Danse been bubbling just under the UK Top 40 for a while now. We've been playing this song here in Beirut since about March, it's a huge song, even Kanye West has remixed it with his own vocals. I didn't like it at first, but give it about 5 plays and you'll be hooked!
