Nadine Coyle 'Insatiable'
Up until a few weeks back, you'd have been entirely justified in filing the Nadine Coyle solo album alongside pixies, vampires and the purpose of Amanda Holden on the 'Things That Don't Actually Exist' pile. But then came news of an exclusive distribution deal with Tesco, a Tina Turnerish vibe to the music and a debut solo single that apparently sounded like the Bangles.

And here is that debut solo single. Co-written and produced by Robbie's old mucca Guy Chambers, 'Insatiable' is a bombastic pop chugger - synthy enough for 2010 but not quite modern-sounding - whose combination of power chords, horns and showboating vocals do indeed invite comparisons with Coyle's forebear in the Belting Voice, Smashing Pins sub-category of pop divas. Honestly though, you'd need to be having a really manic monday to think this sounds much like the Bangles.
