Kelis: 'Scream'

"Been running in place for such a long time / Stuck in a race in the wrong line," Kelis admits on her new single - and we couldn't agree more. It may have taken four studio albums for pop's most 'Bossy' 'Milkshake' maiden / wannabe 'Millionaire' to embrace proper dance music, but we'll thank our lucky (little) stars that she got there in the end.

The third single from her her filthy electro-dance Flesh Tone LP may not be its most instant hit, but it continues to spread the message of Dance Or Be Danced On. "It's not enough to live so just dream", she preaches over a funereal house piano riff as Tocadisco and David Guetta - him again! - drop high-wired disco beats behind her. For a woman who claims here that she hadn't "had faith in such a long time", it sure sounds like she's found her Mecca.
