Taylor Swift: 'Mine'

Taylor Swift has achieved everyone-shaming levels of success - across the pond, her Fearless LP wasn't just the biggest-seller of 2008, but of 2009 too - by sticking rigidly to the three Rs: Relatability, Radio-friendliness and Ruddy Great Choruses. And she ain't about to deviate any time soon.

This trailer for album #3 sees Middle America's sweetheart move on from high-schoolers to the college boy "waiting tables part-time", but otherwise it's business as usual: wipe-clean production, a chorus Cathy Dennis wouldn't cock a snook at and lines as economically evocative as: "You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter." Formulaic? Oh of course, but when the formula's executed this convincingly, it feels churlish to get too Kanye about it.
