Single number three and Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. is having a brag. The gist? He's good at rhyming, good at performing live and good at generally being a bit of a rap superstar. "I sing just like Aretha, so respect me like I'm Caesar," he demands here.

To be fair, on recent evidence, the man far too interesting to call himself Just Plain Bob does possess the pants to complement his gob. Having mastered the whole modern soul thing with 'Nothin' On You', and gone all rocky on our a**es with 'Airplanes', he's now nailing snappy Dr Luke electropop in the form of 'Magic'. Just one quibble - if he really can sing "just like Aretha", why does he need Bruno, Hayley and now Rivers Offa Weezer to croon his super-catchy choruses?
