Katy B ft. Ms. Dynamite - 'Lights On'

2010 is definitely the year dubstep went pop, but no-one's done it as inventively, unashamedly or downright brilliantly as Katy B. Following up her surprise debut smash 'On A Mission' - six weeks in the top ten, natch - was never going to be easy, but fortunately for her she's got one or two tricks tucked under her neon nu-rave jacket.

The first? A Mercury Prize-winning, Hell's Kitchen-surviving cohort in the form of Ms. Dynamite, who makes a welcome return to the musical mainstream on this gritty pop ditty. The second is a union of plinky beats, high-wired basslines and catchy choruses that might just make up the most original party-in-the-club tune we've heard all year. The result? When Madame takes it upon herself to inform us, "This is where I'm meant to be / I ain't going nowhere," it's hard not to think, 'Absolutely love! And we'll drink to that!'
