Taio Cruz ft. Kylie Minogue: 'Higher'

In the ever-growing list of things we admire about Kylie Minogue, her eye for the right collaborator is up there alongside her ability put on a world-class pop show, her natural effervescence and, of course, her ability to maintain pop's perkiest posterior as she settles into her fifth decade. In fact, it's hard to quibble when Min insists here that she's "experienced in moves you can't ignore".

Rather than getting intimidated, Taio Cruz engages in a bit of back and forth with the pint-sized popstrel, assuring her that he knows exactly how to "get down on the floor" - ooh and indeed err! The lyrics continue in Taio's usual minimalistic fashion, but when they're assisted by suitably au courant Europop synths, struttable beats and a killer chorus - with a wonderful Minogue-assisted falsetto, natch - the result is a bit like that last mince pie of the season - near-impossible to resist.
