Keri Hilson: 'Pretty Girl Rock'

"My name is Keri / I'm so very / Fly... oh my it's a little bit scary," Ms. Hilson brags on her latest chart assault. She’s sort of right too, given that her Rolodex is one of the hardest-working in hip-hop, even if this popularity has yet to translate into major record sales. Nonetheless, if like us you've wondered how she keeps her R&B cronies on side, the next four minutes or so could prove extremely useful indeed.

Apparently it's all in the 'tude: "All eyes on me when I walk in / No question that this girl's a ten," she boasts over slinky piano and bouncy R&B beats. Before we accuse her of getting too cocky, however, we should point out that this Ne-Yo-penned track is actually about shaking off personal insecurities and believing in yourself. Still, that probably won't stop his missus from banishing him to the guest room when she checks Kezza's swagger here. Eek!
