Nickelback: 'Animals'

Animals is a strong, energetic and straightforward track.
Led by a super-powered riff, the song is loud and angry, but so simple it's more punk than rock. Full-on drumming and Chad Kroeger's clean sing/shout complete the straight-to-the-point sound.
The tune – if it deserves that name – is again simplistic but ideally suited to this Canadian group of four. It's even less interesting than their 2001 hit How You Remind Me (Number four in the UK chart), but Nickelback are born to play this stuff.
They have stripped down to basics in song writing and arrangement, and the decision could well pay off.

This song shows the diversity that Nickelback is displaying after 10 years of clawing their way to the top. "Animals" is a fun, catchy, ROCK song - from both a lyrical and musical point of view, the riffs are fantastic. Nickelback know how to please all their fan base, from the ROCK fans, thru to the power ballad fans. This song has got to be one of my favourite off their new album. I'm giving it the thumbs up!
I think that everybody needs to lay off of Nickelback, my mom is the one who showed me this song and it's just a fun song that people are making way too big a deal out of. If you don't like it, then don't listen to it. Simple as that, but I like it, and my brother, my mom, and I love to listen to it on the way to school and laugh everytime! It is a good convo starter!
I love the song animals. it has got to be one of my top 3 favorites of all music! The language is not that bad and it drives my parents up the wall. that makes all the more perfect.
