The Streets release the first single from their coming album, The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living.
Mike Skinner's trademark witty lyrics run through this track, and are what makes it such a wicked pleasure. Singing "when you're a famous boy, it gets really easy to get girls," Skinner tells it like it is and refuses to pull punches.
Pulling back to the same kind of style that gave The Streets Fit But You Know It, this track is a wonderfully simple and upbeat number that gets inside of your head and knocks around until it's almost like it's always been there. The tune is so easy and so repetitive that you have to listen to the lyrics, and from there you're lost.
An infectious track, When You Wasn't Famous is bouncy and above all else hilarious, it's just a bit of fun - like most Streets numbers, it sounds just like a night out with the lads.

Absolutely fascinating lyrics, sung with such candor that this is bound to be a biggie.. Great job...
