That's right, the Brothers Grimes can now update a CV that already boasts a No.1 single and album at home, a Vorderman-esque portfolio of advertising contracts and their very own ITV2 documentary… with the words: "Ireland's Official Eurovision Entry, 2011." Suddenly Dunc 'n' chums look pretty plum, eh?

Of course, representing one's nation at said Song Contest does necessitate steering one's larynx within the general vicinity of an original song - gasp! - albeit one without an Irishman among its trio of co-writers. Produced by Danish production house Deekay, 'Lipstick' is a dayglo wad of electroglammy bubblegum for the Nick Jr. contingent - given extra stickiness by Jedward vocals which bring to mind hiccupy new waver Lene Lovitch. Pop gold? Hell no, but if Uncle Louis forks out for a Brian Friedman Stage Production Special, who knows what could happen?
