JLS ft. Tinie Tempah: 'Eyes Wide Shut'

You know when you first hear a song and it instantly reminds you of another that you can't quite put your finger on? Well, that's exactly the dilemma we'd been facing with JLS's latest single - and we don't mind telling you that now the comparison in question has finally clicked, we're feeling so pleased with ourselves that we've phoned no fewer than three long-suffering mates to share our pointless news.

Bare with, bare with… but the similarities between 'Eyes Wide Shut' and Liberty X's 2001 hit 'Thinking It Over' are subtle but unmistakable. Yes, the newer tune is more club-friendly-2011-stylee and features a guest rap from man of the mo Tinie Tempah, but the pop-garagey verses and R&B-lite, catchy-as-cholera chorus have a distinctly old-school feel to them that makes for yet another unstoppable chart missile from Marv & Co. Right then, whatever happened to our copy of Liberty X's first CD? If we recall correctly, it had 'Just A Little' on it too… now, that was a choooon.
