Madcon: 'Outrun The Sun'

You may only know of Norwegian duo Madcon for 2008's 'Beggin'', but across the pond they've since become quite the established act, having toured with the likes of Alicia Keys and 50 Cent while scoring a string of top ten hits in their hometown. Keen to prove to us Brits that they're more than a one-cover wonder, Tshawe Baqwa and Yosef Wolde-Mariam - try pronouncing those after a glass of red - are back for their UK invasion mark II.

Produced by Pussycat Dolls/Pixie Lott hitmaker Jonas Jeberg, 'Outrun The Sun' is an uplifting if not slightly uninspired slice of electro-rap-pop complete with hawkish synths, a rubbery bassline and a shout-out-loud-as-you-can chorus featuring the vocal talents of curiously-named newcomer Maad*Moiselle. The result is a number unlikely to have much impact on our frostier shores, but a slight change in trajectory to the nearest 18-30 resort should see them fit.
