By Lewis Corner | Following up a global chart hit is a bittersweet thing. On one hand there's the instant recognition as a certified hit-maker, but on the other there is pressure to replicate that success all over again. Such is the problem plaguing
Wiz Khalifa, who, after the hypnotic, Pittsburgh Steelers-inspired 'Black and Yellow', is hoping to make it a game of two halves and score another touchdown with his latest chart-botherer.
"You know one thing straight/ I'll be there girl whenever you call me," charms Wiz over a predictably bouncy Stargate-produced beat. A laid back summer jam at it's core, it unfortunately lacks the knockout hooks that its predecessor so effortlessly flaunted - sounding more like a Nelly cast-off circa 2002 than a modern-day hip-hop classic. Either Wiz has played his trump card too soon, or he's taken the meaning behind this song all too literally.
