Oh Land: 'Sun of a Gun'
Iceland has Björk, Sweden has Robyn, and now Denmark has Nanna Fabricuis - best known by her much trendier stage name Oh Land. The latest synth-pop singer to emerge from Northern Europe, she quickly caught the ears (and eyes) of US critics for her quirky approach to music - a style which she describes as "classical meets electronic". We don't know what's in the water out there, but we'd definitely like a sip of it.

"Once burned, twice shy/ Too much of your light makes me blind," she explains over plinky beats, looping snyths and finger-clicking production in a tale of unhealthy obsession for her fella. "You go down, down, down/ I fall out of love with you/ Come back round/ You sun of a gun," she continues. The result is a delicate yet cinematic slice of synth-pop with an earworm hook which, once planted in your brain and 60-plus listens later, will have you crying: "You son of a...
