Britney Spears: 'I Wanna Go'

"Lately I've been stuck imagining/ What I wanna do and what I really think," Britney Spears ponders on the intro of her latest track. Given that she has reached her 30th UK single release, we can't blame her for wanting to re-evaluate her career options - but as it comes after one of the best albums in her 12-year music career, we certainly hope she hasn't got any life-changing ventures in mind.

Thankfully, the rest of the song's lyrical content suggests that she is more than happy exactly where she is. "Shame on me/ To need release/ Uncontrollably," she chirps over a Max Martin-helmed arrangement of jittery synths, vocodered beats and whistles which, as she puts it, "gets her every time". "I I I wanna Go-o-o all the way-ay-ay/ Takin' out my freak tonight," she warns, prompting the response: "After 30 singles love, you deserve to let your hair down!"
