Frankmusik ft. Colette Carr: 'No I.D.'

It's a brave thing for a UK artist to up sticks and relocate Stateside to chase international fame and success. While many fear being labeled a sell-out by their native homebodies, Vincent 'Frankmusik' Frank - who quickly charmed the UK underground pop scene with his East London sensibilities and synth-driven melodies in 2009 - has decided to give it a go regardless under the water-tight clique of Cherrytree Records. So, was it a wise decision?

Thankfully, 'No I.D.' still retains Vince's acute ear for a hook-laden chorus. "No I got no I.D./ No, no/ No I got no I.D.", he chants with faux-ragga cadence over a toe-tapping beat and electronic keyboards shinier than Cheryl Cole's Creme-Glossed locks, before reassuring us that identification isn't essential for a good party. You might be 25 now, mate, but we strongly advise a peek at a provisional before treating her to a Cosmo.
