As you can imagine, when an act comes along that embraces their inner childish and goofy behaviour rather than flaunting whips and booby spray cream in our faces, the change is surprisingly refreshing. Thankfully, it's exactly what Rizzle Kicks offer on their latest effort.
While they mourn the age-old adage of lost pre-adolescent hopes and dreams, it's not without a sense of rose-tinted nostalgia. "Now that I am older it seems the ambition has vanished," they reflect in their street-wise twang over reggae-wobbling brass and rasta-pop beats. The result is the Refresher bar of songs; a sweet and fizzy treat that instantly reverts you to your 10-year-old self. That said, they're not doing half bad in the dream job stakes these days, right?
