The Collective: 'Teardrop'
The Children in Need single has always been something of a curious beast. From Pasty Palmer and Sid Owen's 'You Better Believe It' in '95, to last year's JLS track 'Love You More' and Lou Reed and co's 'Perfect Day', the annual offering has veered between the novelty, tacked-on and absolute genius.

On paper, this year's appears to take aim at the latter; a dream team lineup of the UK's urban scene including Ed Sheeran, Wretch-32 and Ms Dynamite - and all with newly-appointed music mogul Gary Barlow at the helm. It all sounds very exciting, until you realise that it really is a Massive Attack cover (bravely reswizzled by Labrinth) and there is actually very little rapping to be had. That said, Tulisa's impressive vocal on the chorus and the fact that it's for charity means there's no excuse to avoid downloading this one.
