Florence + the Machine: 'No Light, No Light' - Single review

Now that Florence + the Machine have managed to avoid the dreaded second album syndrome with their latest LP Ceremonials, it seems lead singer Florence Welch is discovering the true meaning of success after spotting a number of fans copying her look. With both style and substance seemingly mastered to a tee, will new single 'No Light, No Light' live up to the public's continued high expectations?

"You can choose what stays and what fades away/ And I'd do anything to make you stay," Welch declares over thundering tribal beats and flowing harp strings while venting frustration about the state of her fragile relationship. "No light, no light/ Tell me what you want me to say," she pleads to her beau in her unmistakable folk-tinged timbre. There may be an increasing number of Flo doppelgangers about, but there's only one Florence Welch - and he'd be a fool to mess about for too long.
