What has happened to Pixie Lott? When she first made an entrance on the charts back in '09 with 'Mama Do', we'd pegged her as a quirky, butter-wouldn't-melt singer with an ear for a genre-straddling pop song. Fast-forward two years, and with a new record that curiously mixes slow 'n' soulful with Euro-cheese pop, truth be told we're a little confused as to where we stand with her.
Her latest chart botherer, once again, falls on the latter side; combining a fuzzy, Eurovision-friendly beat with lyrics co-penned by Lott herself that are sweet enough to rot your teeth. "Plug in the socket give me all your power/ When you turn it on I can go for hours," she confesses - and given that she's insisted she could never write songs as dirty as Rihanna's, we can only assume that Pix has finally 'fessed up to being a pop robot.
