Sean Paul: 'She Doesn't Mind' - Single review

"I like the way you dance/ You got me in a trance/ My baby, she don't mind at all," Sean Paul confesses on his latest chart assault. Normally we'd be quick to criticise such generic and clichéd fodder, but when it's told in the rapper's unmistakable Jamaican twang, we can't help but be distracted by the prospect of jetting off to sunnier climes; preferably lounging poolside with a Sex On The Beach in hand.

Trailing his new LP, the curiously titled Tomahawk Technique, Paul has called upon super producers Shellback (Britney Spears, Ke$ha) and Benny Blanco (Taio Cruz, Katy Perry) to ensure his blend of tropical beats and club rhythms is given an international sound. It's a trick that has kept him in business for near-on 12 years now, and after listening to the song's earworm of a chorus, you won't hear us complaining if he's still around in 2024.
