In little over 18 months, Jessica Cornish has gone from penning teen-pop hits for Miley Cyrus to becoming a household name as a recording artist in her own right. As such, it's 'LaserLight' that has sent her into the UK music history books - and it's easy to see why.

The gender of the star's love interest has been the subject of ludicrously excessive tabloid speculation, but more important is that Jessie has once again proved her knack for penning a bona-fide chart hit - and if we're honest, that's all we really care about.
