When a particular genre of music becomes hugely popular, it's standard practice for the sound to be replicated repeatedly to make a quick buck. David Guetta recently told us that his music doesn't all sound the same - a bold claim in an industry bogged down with dance music that is quickly written off as generic - and in this particular instance, we are inclined to agree with the French DJ.
Naturally, 'I Can Only Imagine' has all the hallmarks of a Guetta hit record. Thundering clubs beats, euphoric synth lines and some big-name collaborators in the form of Chris Brown and Lil Wayne - all of which build into an anthem ready for both mainstream radio and club nights from Ibiza to Miami. The trouble is, when it's following a true dancefloor classic like 'Titanium', it proves his point for all the wrong reasons.
