"Been around the block before, doesn't matter anymore," Gwen Stefani confesses on No Doubt's new single. Given the band have sold in excess of 35 million records and haven't released a single in nine years, we're glad to hear they're approaching their comeback with the same carefree and laid-back attitude they've been displaying for some 20 years-plus now.
'Settle Down' is a welcome return to their signature sound; thankfully it sounds as fresh as it did in their heyday. "I'm hella positive for real," Stefani insists over ska-flecked beats as she sings about her years of experience in the game, before a bonkers, guitar-rawk chorus ensues. "I'm trying to get a hold on this/ And I really mean it this time," she assures us - though we didn't doubt her for a second.
