When an artist is introduced as "Gary Barlow's latest signing", you'd be forgiven for automatically picturing a soft-rock singer-songwriter with a penchant for stadium-snoozing ballads. Fortunately for us all, that's not the case with South London pop-gem A*M*E who, after generating some blog buzz over the past year, is finally gearing up to release her official debut single.

"I came to bust a move, oh yeah/ I'm breaking all the rules, who cares?" she sassily declares over a trouncing beat and vintage arcade-inspired synths - a clever wink to the song's title. Add an earworm chorus more addictive and colourful than a game of Super Mario Party and finger-clicking attitude akin to an America's Next Top Model strutt-off, and you're left with one of the most carefree and fun pop songs to have graced 2012.
