You know what, the evidence is staring us in the face: there's the number one album, the clutch of Kerrang! awards, the frontman's ill-fated affair with Fearne "Rock music is AMAZING!" Cotton. That's right, Lostprophets are the most popular heavy rock band we have at the moment.

'4:AM Forever', the fourth single from their Liberation Transmission album, shows us why. It's an insistent, pounding rock ballad with a supercharged vocal from frontman Ian Watkins and evocative lyrics about the death of a close friend. 4am, apparently, is the time of day when most people say goodbye to life. Eek. Forgive us if we don't spin this one when we come in sozzled from a night on the tiles.
