She may have only signed a record deal earlier this year, but Iggy Azalea's colourful CV already boasts two mixtapes, a dedicated global following, bagfuls of online acclaim and a Twitter row with the similarly-monikered MC Azealia Banks. In fact, the only thing stopping her from graduating to superstar status is a breakthrough commercial smash.
Fortunately, 'Work' has all the makings of just that. "I'm try'na let you know what the f**k I've been through," she raps confidently over a sweeping piano intro before dropping into a bouncy hip-hop chorus with a hook that quickly digs deep. There are nods aplenty to her contemporaries - the swagger of Lana, the brattiness of Ke$ha, the sheer ballsiness of GaGa - that when combined, makes for something very exciting indeed.
