Sean Kingston: 'Beautiful Girls'

In the long list of all time musical atrocities, this latest single by Sean Kingston will certainly be a new entry somewhere near the top. By sampling the Ben E. King classic 'Stand By Me' and layering over it some cheap Argos drum machine beats and his computerised vocals, he manages to produce a record that doesn't just murder the original tune, but well and truly massacres it. A mixture of reggae, rap and pop, the eventual outcome is an unpleasant aural experience similar to having two cheese graters rubbed down your ears.

Scarily reminiscent of Akon's high-pitched squealing, nasty number one record 'Lonely', Kingston will no doubt sell by the bucket load - he's already hit the number one spot in the US. It's the sort of tune you can imagine hearing being blared out by shifty looking youths on their latest mobile phones at the back of your local bus. Yes, that bad. Telling the tale of Kingston's despair at the mass of beautiful girls he can't have, the singer claims he is feeling suicidal as a result of his unrequited love. Unfortunately it will more than likely be the listener who is reaching for the razor blades after hearing this god awful racket.

This song is opened repeatedly and it drives me nuts. I truly hate it with all my heart yet most teens here seem to like it. YUCK! The tune, the big guy's voice and everything of it seems to make me sick.

This song just blows. I hear little kids singing along to this song saying, "...suicidal"? The lyrics suck. Yet another "Hot Stepper" or Avril Lavine "Boyfriend" song. Every generation has a least one. Why do people write annoying songs like this? I really, really, really hate this song.

I like it. When I first heard his voice I thought he was a cut above and I wasn't that suprised to find he's the nephew of Buju Banton. I'd put money on Sean Kingston being around for the long haul.

I totally agree with you. I hate this song and I'm young. None of my friends like it and I hope to god that Rihanna can stop him from making the number one spot. Her single is out on the same day as this.

So agree, and to be honest I would prefer the cheese graters than having to listen to this awful song.
