We all know where we stand with the Foo Fighters. 15 years after Nevermind, Dave Grohl continues to adhere rigidly to the quiet-loud-quiet-LOUD! dynamic of the alt-rock revolution. Fortunately, six albums down the line, the Foos have still got the tunes to back up their awesome sonic bluster.
'The Pretender', the first single from the band’s forthcoming LP Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, is the rock equivalent of a late-season episode of Friends. Taylor Hawkins' drumming is as near-rabid as ever, Grohl continues to roar like a heroin addict going cold turkey, and the middle eight brings back gleeful memories of 'All My Life'. It might feel familiar, but your fists won’t stop pumping for days.

Dave Grohl is the sexiest man alive, and this latest single is awesome.

I'm not a big foo fighters fan, but this single in my opinion is the best. I just never get bored of it - great show lads!
