After a summer so wet that the prospect of global warming seems an attractive option, it's a pleasant surprise to have Colbie Caillat brightening up our autumn with her sun-kissed single 'Bubbly'. Yet another 'MySpace sensation', she mixes Californian sunshine, heart-breaking tales of lost lovers, and the sort of acoustic warmth that could keep you cosy while camping in the Scottish Highlands at Christmas.
'Bubbly' should probably come with a bonus pack of sunscreen, as it radiates sunshine out of every strum, note and lyric. Sounding like a female Jack Johnson, she mixes tickled guitar strings, hushed drums and lush vocals on this Radio 2 hit-in-waiting. Caillat's baby-soft tones gel perfectly with the sugar-sweet sentiments of the song, which detail the butterfly-in-stomach emotions of every youngster who has ever been swept off their feet by love. Sounding like a forgotten track from the Dawson's Creek soundtrack, it's a woozy, acoustic sugar-coated treat.

A real feel good track. Really great lyrics and a good voice too. Her album 'Coco' is recommended if you want to just chill out.
