Les Savy Fav are the sort of band that your skinny-jeaned, pasty-faced, Sonic Youth T-shirt-wearing, twee-indie-obsessed mate will have be raving on about for years. You know, the sort of kid who refuses to attend Glastonbury anymore because it's "way too corporate man", and insists on regaling to you tales about Mogwai's 'interesting' B-sides while you're trying to have a quiet drink down the boozer. However, for once, the kid may have had a point, as New York's Les Savy Fav return with another slice of angular, intellectual rock.

Sounding something like the result of chucking The National and The Hold Steady into a washing machine together, there's a whole host of clattering, robotic drums and echoing guitars to entertain your ears throughout 'What Would Wolves Do?'. The tune begins with a blend of taut, twisted guitars and Joy Division-esque factory beats and some tender "ah-woohs" before lead singer Tim Harrington leads the band into a ferocious aural assault on a gargantuan battering ram of a breakdown. It's a teasing glimpse of the much-anticipated Let's Stay Friends album, which you can get your grubby little mitts on from next week.
