Whatever happened to Betty Boo? 'Doin' The Do' smashed the top ten in 1990 and 'Where Are You Baby' squeezed in the top five soon after. She mixed bubblegum pop with Salt 'n' Pepa beats and was dressing in school uniforms and getting middle-aged men breaking a sweat nearly a decade before a certain Britney Spears caused such a furore. Then nothing bar a few dodgy chart entries and a bizarre collaboration with Blur's Alex James (Anyone got their Wigwam album to hand?) for getting on 17 years.

However, she is back and she's ready for some fisticuffs with anyone that dares stand in her way. Filthier than Peter Stringfellow's leopardskin G-string, Betty's certainly not gone shy in her old age. With the sort of smutty lyrics that could even make Girls Aloud blush, Boo moans, groans and pants over a sweaty, heaving beat before promising: "I'm taking it offfffff!" When she whispers: "Lick, flick, stick," we'd like to imagine she's marketing a new line of Chuppa Chups, but the orgasmic groans would suggest otherwise. Jack Rokka's thunderous bass-heavy electro thump certainly isn't anything original but combined with Betty's bawdy asides, this track is so wrong that it feels just right.
