Kano: 'Feel Free'
Despite teaming up with Craig 'I'm still making records, you know' David and now Damon 'He gets everywhere, him' Albarn, Kano is still one of the UK's most respected hip-hop stars. His recent London Town LP wasn't the commercial breakthrough many critics thought it might be, but he remains one of the few British urban artists to command the respect of hardcore rap fans and casual hip-hip delvers alike.

'Feel Free' is built around Albarn's circus-master chorus lines, which intertwine brilliantly with Kano's quick-fire illustrations of London street life. It's got the foggy production that proved so effective on Albarn's The Good, The Bad and The Queen project, capturing the smog, smells and scandal of modern life in the capital. If you think the Klaxons are making music that pushes boundaries and challenges, then give this a disc a whirl to hear the sound of two true innovators.
