Rihanna: 'Don't Stop The Music'
As a sexy, nimble-footed popstar whose vocal talents are never going to have Mariah quivering in her Louboutins, Rihanna Fenty has always belonged on the dancefloor. Three albums into her career, she seems finally to have realised it. The opening stretch of her Good Girl Gone Bad LP is a veritable pop orgy of lethal hooks, bolshy beats and come hither lyrics.

'Don't Stop The Music', the album's fourth single, finds Rihanna reaping the benefits of this beat-happy approach. A big, chunky floor-filler built around a looped sample of the "mama-se, mama-sa, mama-ku-sa"s from Michael Jackson's 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', it hands her an unmissable opportunity to sound sexy while wiggling her hips seductively. The whole thing works so brilliantly that, almost unwittingly, it's the best single to bear a 'Jackson, M.' writing credit since 'Blood On The Dancefloor'.

It does have a part where she repeats the same word like in "Umbrella" (ella ella) and "Shut up and drive" (drive drive drive)

First heard this while driving, nearly boogied my way into oncoming traffic! didn't realise it was rihanna until i saw the video a day or two later. while liking her work, i'm not a particularly big fan - but this track is awesome. makes me want to come out of nightclubbing semi-retirement!
