Fast-forward to 2008 and Mark Ronson's Version LP - now double-platinum, don't you know - has just garnered a trio of Brit Award nominations. Its latest single is a reissue of 'Just', featuring, as before, vocals from Alex Greenwald of Phantom Planet fame. Lathered in horns and funkier than a block of cheese trapped in an airing cupboard, it shows the Ronson trick works even when he doesn't have an A-list female behind the mike.

Brilliant, if he keeps doing this kind of thing he can't go wrong. Probably even better than the original, which is of course a hard thing to do!

I do kind of agree with the review - it's a fun remake but, as with all covers, it's extremely hard to surpass the original. This cover doesn't but unlike his sacrilegious cover of 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before' it doesn't make me want break things. And it's a shame they decided to take the mick out of the Radiohead video. It's hardly going to endear him to Radiohead fans is it?
