H 'two' O ft. Platnum: 'What's It Gonna Be'
Hot on the heels of T2's 'Heartbroken', which made number two in December, comes another hit-in-waiting from the bassline house scene. Having filled dance floors around Sheffield for several years now, this UK garage spin-off movement looks poised to cross over to the mainstream.

A collaboration between Leicester producers H 'two' O and Manchester vocal trio Platnum, 'What's It Gonna Be' is as dated as a cassette recorder. Specifically, with its banal 2-step beats, characterless vocals and cheap, trancey synths, its sounds like an Ayia Napa also-ran from 2004. Any suggestions as to how we might (legally) halt the bassline house explosion? We're going to need them fast.
