Go:Audio: 'Woodchuck' (EP)
If you loved Blink 182's early pop-punk tunes, adore Brandon's synth fiddling with The Killers and enjoyed nothing more than ogling Busted in their pomp, Go:Audio are hear to answer all your fantasies. Comprising four rather handsome chaps from South London, they make killer pop songs that will have you confused as to whether you should be heading towards the dancefloor or reaching for your air guitar.

The title track of this EP has the cheekiness of prime McFly bolstered by US dude-rawk guitars, while 'So Quiet You Were' packs together computer crunches, synth washes and a call-to-arms chorus with so much bolshy teen-angst that Matt Willis would chop off his hands for it. Unfortunately, the clash of acoustic and computers on 'Forget About It' sound like a sub-standard version of 'Sleeping With The Light On', while 'Doesn't Really Matter' has ambitions to be a grandiose stadium anthem but comes off as a whiny sixth-form poetry over an old-school Casio keyboard on auto-play. 'Woodchuck' is a mixed bag of results, but there's enough vim and vigour brimming underneath the surface here to justify perseverance.
