Sugababes: 'Denial'
They'd rather sack their stylists than admit it, we suspect, but Sugababes seem to have reached the Indian Summer of their career. Despite stalling outside the top ten with 'Change', their last single, and failing to make the shortlists for this year's Brits, their music remains as stylish and catchy as ever.

If there's any justice, 'Denial' should restore Amelle, Heidi and Keisha to their customary position in the top ten. Riding its elastic, 'Standing In The Way Of Control'-style verses towards a shimmering, harmony-drenched chorus, it's a brilliantly addictive pop song: bouncier than a Labrador puppy on Ritalin, but classy too. For a group in its ninth year of chart stardom, that's no small feat.
